New Paper: Testing the Epidemics News Coverage in Light of the CDC's CERC model- Effects on Comp

In this new paper, I examined the potential effects of real world coverage of epidemics on people's perceptions, and subsequently on compliance with and support for the CDC during outbreaks of new infectious diseases. I found that while people are open to change their opinion on new diseases and are willing to change their own behavior based on CDC recommendations as a result of exposure to comprehensive (but not currently available) news coverage, their opinion on the CDC and their intention to support the organization financially during crises is less meleable to change.
