Yotam Ophir, Ph.D. (2018. University of Pennsylvania), is an Assistant Professor of Communication at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, studying political and science communication, misinformation,

and media effects.

His research combines computational tools for automated content analysis,

such as machine learning, topic modeling, and network analysis,

with experiments and surveys, to study media content and its effects on audiences.

Ophir authored and co-authored 24 journal articles,

including in  Journal of Communication, Political Communication,

Communication Methods & Measures, and American Journal of Public Health, and multiple book chapters.
